The United Nations Association of Somalia would like to express heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated support team and volunteers. In particular, we wish to acknowledge Abdiaziz Godah, who has been an invaluable member of UNASOMALIA for the past five years. His roles as a volunteer, support team member, and council member have significantly contributed to our mission.

Abdiaziz Godah was born in Mogadishu on October 6, 1978. He completed his high school education in Finland, where he began his professional journey. From 1997 to 1999, he worked with the Helsinki City Municipality and Lohja City Municipality, gaining valuable experience in municipal operations. Abdiaziz then transitioned to the private sector, working for various companies, including Elcoteq Oy, Enics Oy, and Semantix Tulkki from 1999 to 2007.

Abdiaziz has a strong background in sports administration. He served as the President of the Somalia Sports Press Association from 2005 to 2013 and was the Deputy President of the Somali Basketball Federation (SBF) from 2000 to 2009. His passion for sports continues, as he is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Somali Olympic Committee (SOC) since 2009.

In addition to his roles within sports and UNASOMALIA, Abdiaziz Godah has been the Director of the Sanitation Department for the Benadir Regional Administration since 2014, where he has worked tirelessly to improve public health and sanitation in the region.

Abdiaziz's unwavering commitment to service and community development is evident in all his endeavors, and we are grateful to have him as part of the UNASOMALIA family. His dedication inspires us all, and we look forward to his continued contributions in the years to come.
