On the 5th of December, 2018, we held a human rights seminar in Mogadishu Central Prison for 170 students from different universities in Somalia as well as the Mogadishu Central Prison staff, members of the civil society, & JOCC human rights compliance office,
Participants received attendance certificate from Una-Somalia they had also learned basics human rights participants were also introduced to several information, and also tough how to apply them to their communities, friends, universities, schools to ensure that they address the human rights challenges that faces our Nation.
We had achieved the objectives of the seminar because by the end of the seminar participants were able to explain the international human rights system, its instrument and mechanisms.
We received excellent feedback from attendees, and we'll be holding more such seminars across the country
